Sign-up for copies of cadet emails

All,
Over the past few years, we have been running a new option for parents, to allow them to receive a copy of all emails we send to cadets, to their own email address. Cadets would still receive emails as normal.
We send on average, 1 email per day. These range from telling cadets to bring sports kit to a parade, Sunday Sports being cancelled, last minute places at an RAF Camp over Easter to getting names for a volunteering event at Oulton Park, for example. You will so far have been copied into all messages, but cadets have now been added to our email system and only they will receive messages going forwards. Your address will only be used for newsletters and occasionally when we have a last minute course to fill, we will sometimes contact parents for faster responses.
This has been requested on a few occasions by parents, so they can ensure that their cadets are not missing out on any opportunities. Although we do encourage cadets to have their own address and to check their own emails regularly, it doesn’t always happen.
If this is something you would be interested in, then please reply to this email with your name and cadets name. I will be signing parents emails up in the next few weeks. This will be an opt-in system.
If you are unsure which addresses I have recorded, then please just ask. Another useful tool for parents, is the Squadron calendars. Although we normally send letters home with cadets for events they are involved in, such as Duke of Edinburgh’s expeditions, we generally plan these in months earlier and put them on the Squadron calendars. These dates can be subject to change until nearer the time, but can help with parents planning holidays and other events.
Finally, copies of emails sent out are also placed in a section on our Sqn website. Just head to the member’s area, then “Squadron Emails”. Sometimes messages from us do end up in junk, or similar, so you can always check here to double check nothing has been missed
Please speak to your cadets about accessing the member’s area and drop me an email if you have any questions.
Kind regards
Martin Moores Flying Officer RAFVR(T) Sqn Adjutant 146 (Northwich) Air Cadets
**You are receiving this email as a parent of a 146 cadet, who has given their email address to be used for correspondence.**
