Fairbourne Camp Updates

All,

Just a few updates and reminders in advance of Fairbourne camp, 12th-19th August.
Please do ask if you have any questions, especially new cadets who may not have been on camp before, or anyone who is unsure of the clothing/equipment they should bring.
Regards
Fg Off Moores
Kit Hire
Please ensure you hire any kit required from supply ASAP.  I can now confirm tent groups for the walk (below), you will be expected to ensure you have sufficient group kit between your tent groups.  This is marked as "can be shared" on the kit list.  Discuss and hire as required.
You do not need to hire tents, these will be brought by the Sqn for you.

Departure Time
I can now confirm that cadets should arrive at the Sqn for 09:00 on Saturday the 12th of August.
All cadets should be dressed in their walking clothes and boots, ready to leave on our first activity on arrival at Fairbourne.  Cadets will not be allowed in the centre when we arrive.
Late Arrivals

A number of cadets are travelling to Fairbourne after the main party due to holidays and other camp commitments.  To confirm, there will be a minibus leaving the Sqn at 18:00 on Saturday the 12th.  The following cadets will be travelling on this minibus:
CWO Hensby
Flt Sgt Worley
Cpl Holmes
Cdt Ferguson.K
CWO Woodfinden will be travelling by private car, all other cadets will be on the coach
Lunches
A reminder that cadets will require a packed lunch for the outgoing journey on Saturday the 12th.  I have also now been informed that cadets will also receive a packed lunch for the return trip on Saturday the 19th.
Rucksacks/Walking Groups

Please ensure the day sack you bring to Fairbourne is a decent size and has two shoulder straps for carrying.  You will be using it every day for carrying waterproofs, spare clothes, water/lunch etc
The cadets below will also be using their day sack for the expedition walk, concentrating on navigation skills, rather than carrying weight.  Please pack your large rucksack as normal and essentials will be moved into your day sack on arrival in Fairbourne before the walk.
